Avocado Chocolate Mousse

Hello lovely Glams!

When I started this blog, the idea was to have posts about food and fashion, which in the beginning it was but now I seem to have strayed away from the food part of it. I guess when I'm cooking I don't really think to stop and take pics of the different stages of the method hence the lack of food posts. Also, the food I eat at uni really isn't exciting. Anyway, to the point, I'm going to try and post more food recipes; particularly ones that don't take long, starting with this recipe!

I know what you're thinking, chocolate avocado mousse?!? Sounds kinda gross, but I have to say it is absolutely delicious and completely guilt free!! It literally takes less than ten minutes and I'd say the amount of ingredients you use is really up to your personal preference e.g. how sweet you want it depends on how many dates you put in. Its dairy free as well which is perfect for me as I'm slowly trying to ween myself off dairy products and onto alternatives.

Enough chatter, here is my Avocado Chocolate Mousse, best served with fruit to cut the richness (my personal preference)!

I used about 4 dates, about 1/4 of a very ripe avocado, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tbsp cocoa powder and about 2 tbsp of water. Put it all in a blend and adjust ingredients to your taste, as well as water content for thickness and texture.

INGREDIENTS:
RIPE AVOCADO
DATES
COCOA POWDER
VANILLA EXTRACT

Army Chic

Hey Glams,
I hope you're all having a nice and relaxed Monday evening.

It appears I'm starting to become obsessed with this mustardy yellow! I keep adding pops of it wherever possible.I know it's officially summer now, YAY!!! So I guess the colour helps brighten up my outfits. But let's be honest...In England summer could mean anything! Hence the leather jacket and khaki jeans, another colour I'm so in love with.

I was given such an amazing, once in a lifetime opportunity to fly over London in a helicopter and what made it more special was that I could do it with my family! I love to dress 'in theme' wherever possible and felt like an army vibe was necessary. It was comfortable, weather appropriate and we all know I love a good crop top ;) Hair red to mom. Also last little note, can't get enough of KIKO lipsticks, such good quality!!

Here are a few pics from our lovely day out!

So this top is actually a full T-shirt and I just tied a not to give it more edge, like I said: experimenting is key! and fun! :D

Blogger Problems, not being able to stay focused :P

Sorry this is a bad example of my jewellery, but it should give you an idea,  I kept it black and gold!

Purple and Yellow?! She didn't!!

Hey Glams!

It's so good to finally be on holiday, I've missed this kind of freedom!

As promised, I have put together an outfit with the trousers of my paisley set (top shown in previous post). I have to admit, I normally shudder at the thought of purple and yellow together but for some reason, the shades of the two colours or the black trousers blocking off any clashing, this look just works! Mustard and purple might just even be one of my new fave combos ;)

I have to give credit where its due, so  shout out to my mom for helping me put this look together. I think as I'm getting older I'm experimenting with my look more, whether its the clothes I wear, my make up or my hair (could poetry be my new thing? ;P). I just think it's fun to experiment and see what works best for you and find out what makes you comfortable, I definitely encourage being an explorer!

There's a lot of fine details that tie this look all together. Especially the beading on the bag and shoes, so so beautiful!

I'd love to know what you think!

I love colours yet I wear so much black and white, I took a plunge with these colours to change it up a bit and get myself looking more summery!

*Details* Can you believe this top is F&F?! Its so light and airy perfect for those summer days!

I love this detail so much! My nail polish was a lucky coincidence, super cute!I didn't wear any other jewellery/accessories other than my usual rings and pandora bracelet because with all this detail I just didn't need it! :)

If you asked me a few years ago my thoughts on this shoe and trouser combo I'd laugh in your face, its amazing how our outlook on style and fashion changes over the years. Don't be afraid to mix and match!
