Blog Part 2/2: Holland

Happy Monday Glams!

Here's the second part to my Video Log of mine and James' trip to Holland!

What I loved most was that we weren't restricted to where we could go, we were so lucky to have known people that wanted us to stay with them. Whoever we went, we were welcomed with open arms! We were spoiled for choice!

Our trip was centred around Mark's 50th Birthday party so I just want to thank him again for accommodating us!

I will be doing a 'back to uni' look later this week so keep checking back!

Vlog Part 1: Amsterdam

Happy Monday Glams!

I thought I'd do something a little different today and so I made a Vlog about my trip to Amsterdam. It'll be in two parts because, well I don't want to bore you with a 10 minute video so breaking it up would be more interesting! I hope you like it!

Little life update: I just moved into my new uni house in Brighton, its so cute! not enjoying the unpacking though and internet isn't set up yet so right now I'm relying on hotspot, not fun!! Hope everyone going back to uni or starting it has a wonderful year!! I only start next week so I'm holding onto my last days of holiday.

Hope you enjoy the video! (click the link below!!)

Moist Chocolate Olive Oil Cake

Who doesn't love to indulge in a cheeky bit of chocolate cake every now and again? Don't even try and deny that one!

I found this cake on Instagram and was intrigued by the thought of olive oil in it because normally olive oil goes a bit bitter when you cook it and who wants a bitter cake?! But I gave it a go and bitter was definitely not the case!

Normally I don't eat/make chocolate cake because it tends to come out quite dry, but not this one! The olive oil keeps it super moist, I couldn't stop eating it! Its not too rich so you don't feel as guilty going back for a second (or third)slice! It was probably gone within the same hour of baking! (I didn't eat it all by myself, I promise!) I also had help baking it which is always nice, to me baking is a good way to bond, when the end product comes out the oven theres always a sense of pride/achievement and sharing that with the people you love is always great!

Nigella has done me proud with this recipe, you all NEED to try it (and et it while its still warm). Its dairy free, can be gluten free (I used normal flour instead of almond) and is vegetarian! Click the link for the recipe:

Don't panic like I did, the batter is meant to be liquid so make sure you line your tin especially if it has a removable bottom!

I've always thought thinner cakes look more sophisticated at a dinner party table so this cake not rising makes it perfect for a lighter, slightly guilt- free after dinner desert!

I can't even express how much i love this dairy free Ice cream, its way better than normal ice cream!! Definitely a must try!

Keeping Up With Kylie

Although she may not know it, Kylie Jenner and I have a love hate relationship. I have to admit she has one of the best styles between her and her sisters, its cool, its edgy and she has fun with it but sometimes she just takes it that tiny bit too far to the not so classy side which just ages her and that's when I just give up.

Remember when she had natural lips? (No shade)Yeah, I'm taking this post right back to then. I have loved this look from the moment I saw it, its laid back, trendy and all black...what else could you ask for?! My dress has been in my closest unworn for a little while now, I just felt like I was wearing a massive bin bag even though it was the right size and worst of all I couldn't match any shoes with it!...but after looking at the Missguided model in the dress, and Kylie wearing hers I finally came to my senses and realised that my money was well spent and its just the way it's meant to be,  oversized casual-chic. I mean, hers probably cost about 10x the price and if she can spend that much on a bin bag dress then I must be doing something right?! :P

So here's my take on Kylie's look, let me know what you think!

Love the zip detail on both sides of the dress!

Kylie tends to have nail colours that "clash" her outfits and thats why I went for this bright blue against the all black.(She had white nails with hers).
