Happy Holidays!

Hey Guys, Merry Christmas (sorry its a tad late) and Happy New Year!!

I hope you're all enjoying your holidays, eating and drinking lots and most of all spending time with your loved ones! I have certainly been indulging myself this holiday, but I guess that's what the season is about right!?

Anyway thought I'd do a quick post of  my Christmas outfit as well as give my 'seasons greetings' to you all before we enter into the new year. Hope you like this look, normally around this time of year I'd have a bit more sparkle but I just haven't fallen in love with any show stopping sequin pieces..YET!

Enjoy the rest of your holidays!

I tried to keep in the Christmas theme with the red(ish), white, and silver to match with our tree :)

I absolutely am in love with these high necked tops, they're so easy to wear and are always flattering and elegant, high suggest investing in a few like I'd did, plus they don't break the bank either! ;P

Kept it clean cut with a sleeked back bun and wore big earrings to add some sparkle to the look!

Country Gal

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!

Thanksgiving is definitely top of my list when it comes to the hot chocolate and duvet kind of weather. It also means that the Christmas feeling is in the air! I've already started my celebrations, I made dinner for my flat last night which was such a nice way to kick of the celebrations! Currently, I'm on the train back home for the 'real deal'....pictures to follow: food, friends, family and a whoooleee lotta love! What more can I ask for?!

Anyway, I thought, seeing as I'm a country gal, living in Bucks and all, I'd show you one of my autumn 'country-gal' outfits - it also gives me a chance to show off my amazing boots really ;P I definitely, definitely recommend getting some knee high, flat leather boots for getting out and about this winter! Not only are they fashionable, but soooo comfy and cosy! I guess this farmers look also ties in with thanksgiving as we are also meant to give thanks to the harvest..right? Haha!

I've probably mentioned before about how layering up in autum is the best way to go about when planning your outfits, some days it's not quite cold enough to wear a coat so that's where the jumpers and shirts come in handy! Sadly my hair was wet and fog floated over St Giles on this day so I was FROZEN but you get the idea of my layers :)

Here's my look, and if you're celebrating Thanksgiving: Happy eating and drinking!

Firstly, I must admit, I didn't think I'd blog this look so the pictures aren't very showy-offy, but I do hope you get the idea! :)

Remember to wear darker jeans during the colder seasons, they're usually thicker and they're just more fitting in the cold season. Also, I love the pattern on this jumper, it's not exactly a christmas jumper which is good 'cos I can wear it when it's not xmas season but also it has the christmassy feel so it fits both ways really!

Local Country Deli-mom's obsessed!! :P

More Than A Month!

Who would've known that being at Uni for five weeks would feel like 5 years...in a good way of course! Putting aside all unnecessary flat drama, I have a really great course and I'm already starting to find my way into a settled friendship group- which makes it that much better/easier settling in!Brighton is such a beautiful little town with all its quirky shops and alley ways and of course the pier! Before I left home I was certain I'd be running back after 2 weeks for a cheeky visit (and laundry drop off :P) but annoyingly, my mom was right and I made it a month without heading back to Bucks.

There's something about going home that makes you not want to go back to uni, maybe its the fact that you're surrounded by your family, getting good meals and treats, but if you ask me, theres no real reason why I was dreading my return to uni..I guess home will always be home and there's nothing like it!

Instead of a fashion post, I've decided to make a few collages of my time in Brighton so far...as well as my trip to Birmingham to visit James and my lovely visit back to bucks with mi familia. AND in case you haven't seen my extremely NOT scary halloween costume, I included some pics from then too with a few friendly faces from home! The collages are roughly in order of occurrence but some are bit mixed so, don't get confused - just enjoy!

Happy bunny on moving in day with a glimpse of my tiny room, with a bit of readjustments today I've managed to make it a little less cramped. Yay space!

You can't move in without any welcoming gifts of course! I truly am grateful for the best family in the world, definitely a spoiled little princess, and now an even luckier one with two lucky charms for my bracelet!

Flat 9 minus 1

Having someone who actually knows their way around really helps, thanks for a lovely outing Daniel!

More flat 9...

And this hospital-like building is my campus, I know, its very exciting! These are some of my business buddies :D

Birmingham part one, we went for such a lovely walk down some lake, its amazing how the flowers aren't dying yet for autumn, I love that they're still in bloom!

Nothing like finding one of your own in a foreign city, ex St Mary's babe Maneeka is now a Birmingham babe! Sooo lovely seeing her <3

Sunday lunch, you can never go wrong with pancakes as a starter! Top picture sums up the end of the meal-too full for dessert!

Home sweet home and Momma's cooking, just too good!!

Okay, really should give a whole long story about why me(the 18 year old) is crying over a stuffed animal, but I wont. All I'm saying is that I've been obsessed for months..maybe even a year so to finally receive my Baby Oleg was rather overwhelming - if you know, you know...#simples

One of the best times of the year,HALLOWEENNNN!! Sadly most people went home this weekend so I didn't get to see many of them, but the streets were FILLED with people - to the point where we embarrassingly didn't go into any of the clubs and instead brought the 'party' back home. So glad James made it down to Brighton...scroll down to see the rest of our weekend and James' first time in Brighton!

Doesn't get any better than this! Wonder Woman AND Captain America, now that's definitely a treat!

James' first visit <3

Guilty! A very food oriented weekend, at least we're eating well I guess ;)

And now the hard part...Bye Bye Jamesyyy :(

So that's that...my Brighton Uni experience in 5 weeks!

Holiday Blues...

This is more of a flashback now...where does time fly to?! Having some serious holiday blues riht now, I could do with a freezing glass of ice tea, laying on sun bed and just feeling the heat soak into my skin! The complete opposite of England this afternoon, instead its a hot chocolate-lazy day whilst snuggled in my duvet covers at uni, I'm not complaining though, I have finally found some time to blog!I promise more 'in season' posts will start to appear shortly, I just had to share this one! Also, more to come on my time in Brighton so far!

Ohh yes, oh yes, here's another one of my 'cheap and cheerful' holiday outfits, part of which I never thought I'd ever own! A DENIM MIDI SKIRT! I spotted it from the corner of my eye and you know that feeling of knowing when somethings not that great but you just have to have it and you don't know why? Well thats what happened to me! I needed that skirt but I wasn't obsessed with it at the time...that's a whole new story now! Its definitely flattering little number might I add!

There's not much to say about this outfit really (surprise, surprise the chatterbox has no words ;P), it's quite basic and simple with no frills or over the top jewellery,it is quite elegant because of the length of the skirt and the back cut of the top styled with a sleek bun. I'd also wear it with some loose curls/beachy hair during the day to make it more relaxed and not as serious as well as add some sort of edginess, although thats when the bright orange shoes come in! They're a little unexpected and thats what I love about them, they tie everything together in this look.

Have anything similar? Don't be afraid to share it on the GC facebook page!

I got this lovely necklace from one of the market stands in Portugal, its quite Egyptiany/Greeky in person and just really different!

Helloooo my lovelies!

Now I know that it's getting colder and summer is officially over but today's post is a little bit of a throwback to my Portuguese holiday where the warmth of the day would stick around into the evening and it was acceptable to wear shorts to dinner. I thought I'd show it to you for 3 reasons:

1) Maybe because you'd like to try it out and tough out the cold.
2) A number of my followers are abroad where it is now turning to summer so this would be slightly more relevant to them.
And 3) Because it was too cute not to share! ;)

I have been having a bit of "writers' block" for the past few days, which is rather frustrating but after having a good think about it I thought I'd tell you why and how this whole look came to be...

It all started when I became addicted to the new Kim Kardashian game, now, now, let's not judge! It's actually pretty good, I even got my mom hooked...shhh don't tell her I told you! ;P Anywhooo, it started with the hair, Kim has this sleek look(See picture below) so I decided to copy it, unfortunately with the humidity after one minute of stepping out my hair began to frizz so the pictures don't do it much justice aha.

The clothing itself was one of those accidental outfits..you know, after experimenting with different tops(my suitcase was literally crop top galore!!) different shoes you finally come across one that actually works! Who know a yellow belt wouldn't clash with the floral top?! I've had these shorts for a few years and I usually dress them up a bit formally, so to have this relaxed look I was quite pleased with myself! Just be careful when you're eating not to spill!!

I'm starting ramble now so why don't you take a look for yourself and let me know your thoughts!

P.S I have one more lovely summer look and after that I cannot wait to start Autumn/Winter14!!
No accessories 'cos the tops enough! But perhaps a small chain would be just fine :)

With not too much belly showing, this is definitely dinner appropriate!

Everything Is All White

Ahhhh yes, its all white (right) now! Before I talk about the outfit I first have to tell you the meaning of this title. As many of you have probably seen by the numerous posts on Facebook expressing my excitement, I'M GOING TO UNI!! After all the stress and anxiety waiting for results I couldn't be more relieved and hence the play on words for "Everything is alright". The obvious use of white is..well my outfit is white(ish) so I thought this would be rather fitting! :D Okay, explanation over, let's have an look at this holiday outfit!

Holidays are a time of relaxation and comfort, let me tell you: This is one of the most comfortable outfits I have ever worn, no joke! After having already been on one holiday I was a bit broke so I was limited with what I could buy, obviously this called for a trip to Primark and an unexpected trip to Tesco, prepare to be amazed! Excluding the shoes, this whole look is probably about £25! The thing about Primark is you just have to look carefully, thats where I found these amazing flowing white linen trousers, perfect for day and night.

With Kimonos being a trend for summer, I literally searched high and low to find one I actually liked and Tesco came through with this detailed white kimono. I have to admit they didn't have my size but this worked out even better because I got one about 5 sizes up and it flows beautifully. Don't judge me but I actually feel so empowered when I walk and it blows in the wind- like something out of a movie!

Okay, and lastly, the bandana, my new statement piece of the summer, perfect for keeping those fly aways back. I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot more of these in my posts.

Here's my all white-ish look, no fuss and super laid back for a relaxed holiday or weekend look! :)
