Food: Inspire Me To Be Healthy

I promise I'm still alive guys!!!

Sorry for the silence once again, it appears I'm not as good as I thought when it comes to balancing out my social life, my blog and a summer job...in other words I know I've been slacking but don't worry I'm ready to pull myself together and look after my beloved blog. I definitely take my hat off to the people that seem to always update their blogs as well as continue their life as normal. Having said that, I decided on a post to show you guys who I get my inspiration from. I think my Facebook page already gives a sense of who I follow for fashion, so thats covered, now for food.

I'd like to think I'm quite a healthy person but don't get me wrong, I do like a little indulgence every now and then ;) But what I love most is a blend of these two things together, and I think this is really reflected by my fellow foodie idols. Also, I've recently decided to give up Dairy (random, I know, but keep reading and I will explain in a bit!) and so this is also reflected again. Actually, it turns out, they're mainly vegan so I can't really go wrong there! Okay...starting to ramble so let me begin!

Inspo #1:

"Vegans only eat leaves and seeds" WRONG!! If there's anyone that can show diversity in what she eats as a vegan its my very good friend Bella! Her instagram is particularly interesting as she shows you her food at home and also shows us her visits to restaurants that serve vegan food. Many people think that vegans are very limited when they're out but you'd be surprised after looking at her page! Go check it out: @Thevegansurvivalguide

Right, remember how I said I'm 'dairy free' now, well I'm still not completely free because I still eat cheese, but I'm working on it, it's a lot harder to give up cheese than you think plus I'm still trying to find a plant based replacement. But other than that, it's bye bye dairy! All thanks to Essena ONeill a vegan youtuber that opened my eyes to what veganism is really about and how it helped her become a healthier person. What I love about her videos is that she doesn't force veganism onto other people yet she was still able to inspire me and I believe one day, slowly but surely, I'll be able to fully follow in her footsteps, dairy free is just the first step! You can see a summary of her lifestyle on instagram @essenaoneill or visit her youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/essenaoneill

Inspo #3:

My sister had a friend over a couple of weeks ago and it turns out it was this lovely lady Kerry, she shared with me how she has certain food requirements like gluten free, dairy free etc (can't remember exactly which ones) but anyway its incredible watching her create all these meals especially for someone so young finding that time and balance to cook food that helps and works with your body to be healthier is just amazing! I'm yet to try out her recipes but I can't wait to begin. Go through her blog and check out all that hearty goodness I'm on about!

I could go on for days about these three ladies and also show you a few more but I think this post would turn into a newspaper! Basically I love that they're all close to my age which opens my eyes as to how I can transform the way I eat to build a better body on the inside and out! Cringe I know, but its true! I'm sure over time I'll show you who else I love to follow on the internet alongside the main chefs, Gordon Ramsay, Nigella all that lot!

Have a Lovely weekend Glams!
